Postage stamps, booklets, flight, censored and maritime mail and philatelic covers of British Guiana, now Guyana, for sale.

Collecting stamps and postal history of British Guiana remains, surprisingly to me, popular, despite the lack of stamps and covers on the market.  It is many years now since a major collection of British Guiana stamps or postal history has been sold at auction.

I would recommend all serious collectors of British Guiana philately obtain a copy of the fine handbook by Townsend and Howe, 'Postage stamps and postal history of British Guiana.'

1911 cover addressed locally with 1c tied by fine strike of special pictorial 'BRITISH GUIANA PHILATELIC EXHIBITION' ds. Small tear and stain at top. Addressed to A.S. Ferguson, the organiser of the show. £30
