GrenadaHome West Indies Stamps Dan Walker Grenada Covers Grenada Books Grenada MapsPostage stamps, booklets, flight, censored and maritime mail and philatelic covers of Grenada for sale. Collecting Grenada stamps seems to have become more popular in the last few years. When I started the business back in 1982 I found it very hard to sell and was told the island had been out of favour ever since producing the surcharge stamp issues of the 1880's which were seen by Victorian philatelists as unnecessary. Many of the classic stamps still have very low catalogue values. Postal history collectors can find a reasonable quantity of pre stamp covers on the market and for postmark collectors there are the Parish letter cancels. There is no up to date handbook on Grenada philately. The classic stamp issues are covered in Sefi's 'The postage stamps of Grenada' and Charlton's 'The postal history and stamps of Grenada' is also useful. Postal history collectors should see Dan Walker's 'Grenada's postal history 1764-1913' work which is actually a photocopy of his written up collection.
