HaitiHome West Indies Stamps Books on HaitiPostage stamps, booklets, flight, censored and maritime mail and philatelic covers of Haiti for sale. There is a study circle devoted to Haiti philately based in the U.S.A. Their website is at http://www.haitiphilately.org There is also a good commercial site offering Haiti collectables at http://www.thehaiticollector.com/The_Haiti_Collector/The_Haiti_Collector_Home_Page.htm The best handbook on Haiti philately is La Timbrologie Haitienne 1881-1954 - which was written by Leon Montes and published by Henri Deschamps in Port-au-Prince in 1954. The book is written in French, is 205 pages in length, and lists many errors and varieties not found in other catalogues, measurements of the various overprint settings, (in many cases) quantities printed and provides a number of photographic illustrations. (Info courtesy of Bill Matthews). The series of articles by Hennan on postal history of Haiti published in the A.P.S. is worth reading but hard to obtain now. Bibliography of Haiti philately is included at foot of this page. For postal history on the 1949 Haiti
issues Scott CB3-CB8 and CB7A, CB8A which deal with
