An attractive collection of the stamp issues of Montserrat can be formed without too much difficulty. Postal history and postmark collectors will have rather a thin time. While a number of pre stamp postal markings exist all are very scarce. With the island being so small there are few village postmarks to collect.
The newly revised handbook by L.E. Britnor, 'Montserrat to 1965' is a must for serious collectors.
