Leeds, John Baines & Company 1831 Very large folding hand coloured engraved map in 32 sections mounted on linen, [approximately 180 by 115cms], [4' square], with inset view of Kirkstall Abbey. Very fine and clean in original full calf slipcase with modern spine. A remarkably detailed map showing just how small Leeds was at the time and with details of railways and canals with proposed new lines and even proposed new canals.
