There is a surprisingly rich resource of books on the West Indies.  Only a few books on the Caribbean are commonly found in bookshops but there are an enormous range of titles in existence.  There is a fine online bibliography of West Indies books, mostly sorted by author, compiled by Don Mitchell at http://books.ai

Books are carefully described but if you have particular concerns please e mail enquires to me.

Post and packing is extra.  Orders are packed carefully and covered by my insurance.   Costs are kept to a  minimum.  Overseas orders are normally sent by airmail and orders for bulky items or multiple books can be sent very cheaply by M Bag Media mail, a heavily discounted airmail service.

Being the narrative of the voyage of the tramp steamer Capella from Swansea to Santa Maria de Belem do Grao Para in the Brezils, and thence 2000 miles along the forests of the Amazon and Madeira rivers to the San Antonio falls; afterwards returning to Barbados for orders, and going by way of Jamaica to Tampa in Florida where she loaded for home. Written by the author while on Post Office business in the West Indies to re-organise the Colonial Post Offices and to undertake postal treaties with the Spanish colonies. Much on Jamaica also chapters on Barbados, Bermuda, Cuba, Trinidad and St Thomas.

Edinburgh 1782 6 vols with engraved frontispiece in vol. 1. Light browning mostly to prelims otherwise very fine in contemporary decorated full calf with raised bands and red labels. Usual wear to hinges and tops of spine. Decorative contemporary bookplates with inscription 'A Wight Man never wanted a weapon.'
